Harmony

If parents could will their child’s future by virtue of their name, there would probably be many more babies named Harmony. The musically inspired name means “union” or “concord of sounds” and ultimately comes from the Greek harmonia In Greek mythology, Harmonia, the love child of Ares and Aphrodite, was given the power to bring people together and was considered the goddess of happy marriages, brotherhood, sisterhood, and of course harmony. The name made it onto network TV—and into the hearts of many—when it was used for a character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
