Mauve

Named for a pale violet hue, Mauve is a feminine name connected to creativity and beauty. Intoxicating in its subtlety, the mauve dye first appeared in 1859 and quickly became a fashion must. Further back still, in the 17th century, Mauve was also translated as "mallow" in reference to the wild, vibrant perennial.
