Hilarie is a gender-neutral name of Latin origin. It’s a variant of the Latin name Hilaria, which derives from the word hilaris, meaning “cheerful” or “happy.” A fitting name for a little one who always has a smile on their face! Other variants of the name include Hilary and Hillary, with famous bearers including Hilary Swank, Hilary Duff, and Hillary Clinton.
