Efran

Efran is a boy’s name of Hebrew and Spanish origin. It’s a variant of Efrain, a Spanish form of the Hebrew name Ephraim, meaning “fruitful.” In the Bible’s Book of Genesis, Ephraim is the second son of Joseph ben Jacob and his Egyptian wife, Asenath. Joseph gives this name to Ephraim because God caused him to be fruitful in Egypt, the land of his affliction. Ephraim goes on to found one of the 12 tribes of Israel.
