Estevan

If baby has both Greek and Spanish heritage, this one's made for you! Estevan is a respelling of the classic pick Esteban, which in turn comes from Greek Stéphanos, meaning "crown" or "garland." In Ancient Greece, winners of contests wore crowns of laurel, so by extension, this name has a touch of "fame" or "honor" to it. Speaking of fame, Estaban is considered the Spanish form of the Christian martyr Stephan, who is still celebrated by many on December 26th. Estevan is also an excellent choice if you want something familiar but not overly popular, like Esteban.
