Bilbo

Bilbo is a name that has aged like a fine wine thanks to the mind of JRR Tolkien and his The Lord of the Rings series. But even before the adventurous and strange little hobbit made his way through Middle Earth, it was a form of the French Billlebaud. After that name altered over time to Bilbaud, it was only a natural next step to become Bilbo. The baud portion of the French version means "bold," adding to Bilbo's unexpected legacy.
