Globe-Trotting Baby Visits 23 Countries Before His First Birthday

Becs Lewis and Will Montgomery had big plans to travel all around Europe when they received the surprise of a lifetime—a positive pregnancy test and the arrival of their first child, Atlas Montgomery.

While plenty of parents would’ve packed it in, Montgomery and Lewis talked it through and, with the help and approval of their doctors and nurses, decided to take their new family of three on the road. Since boarding his first plane and taking his first stopover in Singapore, Atlas visited 24 countries via camper van before taking one full turn around the sun!

Lewis and Montgomery have playfully chronicled all of Atlas’ adventures on their Instagram @boredbabyabroad. From playing around Disneyland in Paris to seeing the ruins in Rome and waterfalls in Italy, Atlas has seen more world wonders in a year than most people will in a lifetime.

Throughout their journey, Atlas hit some pretty big milestones across the globe. According to Lewis, Atlas learned to crawl while the family was in Switzerland, got his first tooth in Norway and began eating solid foods in France.

Overall, the Montgomery family of three has hit up all four UK countries plus Ireland, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Sweden, Poland, Italy, San Marino, Lichtenstein, Slovenia, Croatia, the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Norway and Greece.

While the Montogmerys have sold off their camper van for now, they still plan on taking more trips in the future. In a post depicting a new family driving away in their beloved camper van, Lewis declares, “The adventure is far from over though! Plenty more memories to be made!”
