Baby Won’t Sleep? Try This Dad’s Very Unusual Sleep Hack
We’re all for embracing clever parenting hacks, especially ones that make our fellow parents laugh. That’s why we need to share this hilarious new hack, straight from a inventive dad in Australia. You know how you’ll try almost anything when baby won’t fall asleep?. He found success with a tool you might have never expected: a pink, plastic vibrator.
In an Instagram post first shared by Caters News, Queensland, ]mom-of-four Laura Bentley explains that her husband takes full responsibility for the unique technique. “When husband puts the baby to bed,” she says. “He used an [un]conventional sleep aid today and it worked surprisingly well.”
It makes sense: It’s not uncommon for babies to fall asleep in the car, lulled by the vibration of the vehicle. So all in all, this dad might be onto something. In fact, Bentley told The Sun that her Instagram inbox has been flooded with messages from other sleep-deprived parents thinking of trying the same sleeping hack to soothe their fussy babies.
Bentley admits that she was nervous to share the photo with her followers, but hopes that they will see the humor and silliness of her husband’s hack.
“It’s now more inconspicuously hidden in the bassinet, but we’re still using it,” she says.
