Vanessa Hudgens Has Welcomed Her First Child
Disney Channel icon, singer, entrepreneur and award-winning actress Vanessa Hudgens can add another title to the list—that of mom!
The High School Musical alum announced the arrival of her first child with her husband and Major League Baseball star Cole Tucker on July 4. Not the first to share the news, Hudgens shared her dissapointment and anger that TMZ had captured photos without her consent of her leaving the hospital on Tucker’s birthday with her baby.
“We’re disappointed that our family’s privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long lens camera feeding the media,” she wrote on her Instagram story. “Despite all of that, mom dad and baby are happy and healthy.”
Hudgens first shared the big news that she was expecting after stepping out on the Oscars red carpet wearing a classic long-sleeve, full-length gown in black that provided a perfect silhouette of her growing baby bump. As she fielded congratulations, questions and photos from the press, the actress delicately cradled her bump and smiled. “Oscar’s 2024! One for the books,” Hudgens captioned a photo of her red carpet bump debut.
Plenty of fans, friends and costars shared their excitement and congratulations for the mom-to-be in the comments. “Aaaaah!! Congrats!!! Gorg as always,” wrote former Disney star Brenda Song. “Congratulations!!! You look stunning,” added Sofia Richie. “My favorite wildcat is pregnant,” joked another user. “Sending you all the blessings love so happy for you and cole can’t wait to see the new wildcat baby,” added another.
Hudgens and Tucker met in 2020 and tied the knot in Tulum, Mexico in December 2023. Our congratulations to the new mom and dad!
