All the Details About Target's Major Baby Gear Sale Happening Right Now
Target’s trade-in car seat promotion is back by popular demand, but this time with an amazing twist.
As with its previous trade-in campaigns, shoppers are encouraged to recycle their used car seats for a 20 percent off coupon on a new car seat, booster seat, car seat base, or travel system. But this time around, Target is letting customers use the coupon on all that car gear, plus strollers and select baby home gear, such as playards, high chairs, swings, rockers, and bouncers.
The two-week long initiative is in honor of Baby Safety Month, and runs from Sept. 9 to the 22. The rules are easy. All you have to do is bring your used or damaged seat to the drop-off box at guest services in your local Target store, and a team member will give you a 20 percent off coupon for each seat recycled. Your coupon can then be used in-store or online through Oct. 6.
Target will accept a range of different seats, including infant seats, convertible seats, car seat bases, harness or booster car seats, and car seats that are expired or damaged.
The recycled car seats will be put to good use, where they will be turned into new products, including pallets, plastic buckets and construction materials. Since the program first started in April 2016, more than 306,000 car seats have been recycled.
As if we didn’t already need another reason to head to Target, this certainly calls for it.
