These Are the 10 Most Stroller-Friendly Cities in the United States
Strollers can be one of the most useful products for new parents living in a city. Not only does it help you tote baby around, but many also leave storage room for diapers, clothing and other gear. While strollers can make outings with baby much easier, some places are better than others when it comes to using a stroller. One survey from pregnancy website Pregnancy Etc. is looking at the most stroller-friendly cities in America.
For the survey, the site looked at the combined rankings of 99 metropolitan cities across America. They analyzed which were most stroller-friendly based on three factors: access to open areas (like parks), walkability and pedestrian safety. The results found Washington D.C.—which has 1,495 miles of sidewalks—to be the most stroller-friendly city in America. For pedestrian safety, Boston was found to be the top city, as it’s only had one pedestrian fatality per 100,000 people every year for the past 10 years. San Francisco was found to be the most walkable city in America. Below, the top 10 most stroller-friendly cities, according to the survey.
