SHEIN Recalls Children's Pajama Sets Due to Burn Hazards
Regardless of how you feel about fast-fashion giant SHEIN, the brand’s budget-friendly prices are hard for many families to pass up. But a recent recall of over 17,000 children’s pajama sets is giving parents reason to pause. Here’s what you need to know.
Why Are SHEIN Children’s Pajamas Being Recalled?
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), SHEIN is recalling more than 17,000 children’s two-piece pajama sets after they failed to meet federal flammability standards. Products that don’t meet these regulations pose a burn risk to children if exposed to an open flame. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.
How Do I Know If My Pajamas Are Affected?
The recall impacts SHEIN EVRYDAY Kids two-piece, short-sleeve pajama sets sold in blue, orange, purple, and pink. The sets feature a pocket on the left side of the top and were available in sizes 8Y, 9Y, 10Y, 11Y, and 12Y. If buying secondhand, check for a SHEIN tag sewn into the neck label to identify the product.
What Should I Do If I Own a Recalled Set?
Parents who own an affected set should stop using it immediately and dispose of it. SHEIN is reaching out directly to all known purchasers, but if you bought the pajamas secondhand or haven’t been contacted, you can reach out to SHEIN for a full refund. You can learn more at CPSC.gov.
