Mom Shares Hilarious School Picture Fail

School picture day is the perfect opportunity to get adorable shots of your kids to populate your home walls with and share with family and friends. But the headshots Laurel Hutsell got of her son were far from what she expected.

On picture day, she sent her son off to school in a green shirt. Harmless, right? Little did she know, the photographers had set up a green screen for the backdrop—which, combined with her son’s green shirt, made for some pretty funny photos.

“They used a green screen? What?!” the mom recounts on Facebook. “I probably should have read some fine print.”

Hutsell turned to her Facebook friends for help deciding which of the funny options she should go with. “I’m kind of partial to the flags,” she jokes.

The mom added her own quippy commentary to each of the photos, and it’s impossible not to laugh with her.

“Pastels aren’t really my thing,” she captions one snapshot.

“I love fall,” she says of another photo.

“At least his hair and smile were on point,” she jokingly points out.

The post has more than 10,000 comments from others who can’t get enough of the photo fail.

“This is awesome! It will be the most remembered school picture he will ever have,” one mom comments.

“This one of the best things I have ever seen,” says another.

Thinking ahead, one follower points out, “This will be great for his graduation party!”

While the pictures are certainly unconventional, it’s safe to say Hutsell and her son will be laughing about these school photos for years to come.
