American Idol Alum Ruben Studdard and Wife Kristin Welcome Baby No. 2
Ruben Studdard has added another talent to the family.
The American Idol alum and his wife, Kristin Moore-Studdard, shared their daughter’s arrival with People. "We are thrilled to welcome baby Henri into our lives. Big bro Olivier can’t contain his excitement,” the couple said.
The newborn’s name, Henri, honors Moore-Studdard’s father, Henry. Typically a gender-neutral name, Henriis a Old Germanic name meaning home ruler. The couple’s new addition, arrived March 21 weighing 6 lbs., 14 oz. and will be a younger sister to 3-year-old son Olivier.
The couple first revealed they were expecting in November with a video of their son Olivier wearing a “BIG BRO” sweatshirt while waving excitedly to the camera. “Soon to be a family of four 2024,” a wooden block read alongside a baby onesie that featured the words, Baby Studdard. “I’ve been soaking up this blissful baby bubble. Family of four coming 2024,” Moore-Studdard wrote.
