Peloton Instructor Robin Arzón Has Welcomed Her First Child
Robin Arzón is mom to a “little goddess-warrior!”
She and her husband Drew Butler have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Athena Amelia Arzón-Butler. The couple announced the news on Tuesday, March 2, sharing sweet family photos to social media.
“My husband Drew and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our first child, Athena Amelia Arzón-Butler,” Arzón, vice president of fitness programming and an instructor at Peloton, told PEOPLE. "From the moment we found out we were expecting, we felt so connected to her—like we knew her before in a past life. We just feel so blessed and grateful that she’s finally here and cannot wait to embark on this next chapter and continue building a remarkable legacy with the newest member of our Wolfpack…Life with Athena is already that much more magical. Get ready, world! She is a full on goddess-warrior.”
Arzón first announced her pregnancy in September 2020 during a live Peloton class. She referred to Athena as baby pequeño during pregnancy. In December of 2020, she sat down with The Bump to discuss how she’s approached fitness during pregnancy, her pre- and postnatal program for Peloton and her hopes for motherhood.
“My legacy is something that is very important to me. My mother was a Cuban refugee and my father was born in Puerto Rico. I am the first generation born here. Any time you’re bringing a new life into the world you get to impart culture and tradition,” she said. “For us, that’s definitely music and food, but also history. We already have baby books in English and Spanish and we definitely plan on having our child speak both languages. We want to impart the rich histories of where our families are from. One person can make a whole community more vibrant by bringing more of who they are and where they come from.”
Congratulations to the new parents!
