Priyanka Chopra Shows Off Baby Malti’s Face for the First Time
Baby Malti has finally made her public debut!
Actress Priyanka Chopra and boy band frontman Nick Jonas had kept images of their first child’s face under wraps for over a year before showing her off at dad’s Walk of Fame star ceremony today.
The powerhouse parents are known for being notoriously private in an effort to keep their daughter from the grips of social media. Just earlier this month, Chopra appeared on the cover of British Vogue with her baby in tow, notably facing away from the camera and toward mom.
So why debut baby Malti’s face in the streets of Hollywood rather than on the glossy pages of Vogue? No one is quite sure, but with the assured press presence and mom’s open display of her pride and joy, it’s clear this press photo was no accident.
Fans speculate that perhaps Chopra and Jonas wanted their daughter present for Jonas’ acceptance speech, and there wasn’t an easy way to keep baby Malti shielded from the press. Jonas himself acknowledged his daughter during his speech, specifically calling her out and pointing to his daughter as if presenting her to the public for the first time.
“To my beautiful wife, you are the calm in the crazy, the rock in the storm, and I love being married to you,” Nick began in his speech. “It is the greatest gift. I love being a parent with you, so Malti Marie, ‘hi, baby,’ I can’t wait to come here with you in 15 years and embarrass you in front of your friends.”
Whatever the duo’s reasoning is for finally sharing their baby girl with the world, fans all over agree that she’s absolutely adorable! In the comments section of photos released on Instagram, users fawned over Malti’s sweet face and debated whether she looked more like dad or mom.
“If you have seen Priyanka’s pics as a baby then you will see that she took after her mother,” one person commented. Another noted, “Jonas genes are strong,” and “She looks like a Jonas!”
We can’t wait to see more of Malti Marie in the future!
