Remarkable Time Lapse Video Captures One Family's Entire Pregnancy Journey in Two Minutes
It’s a rite of passage when you’re pregnant to take photos showing the progression of your bump. But one family really upped the ante, taking one photo of the expectant mama every day to document the beautiful transformation. Lacing the nine months all together—pregnancy announcement, gender reveal and birth of baby—into a remarkable time lapse video, the family shares the end result on their youtube channel, The Dunder Boy.
The video begins with mom, Monique, and dad, Byron, spilling the beans to their son, Dylan, that he’s going to be a big brother. His adorable reaction kicks off the start of the mom’s bump series.
In addition to the developmental stages of her belly, we also get a glimpse of how their family is preparing for its newest addition. It’s a testament to the life that is happening both inside the mother’s belly, as well as all around her.
Throughout the slideshow, we see Dylan and his two dogs, Dunder and Munster, getting into silly antics as their mom poses, and we get to experience the family’s comings and goings to Montréal, Québec City and Lake Tahoe, to name a few.
We also have a front row seat to their fun gender reveal, and a peek into the nursery makeover. From furniture hauling, painting and everything in between, we watch the family prepare for the newest member in their clan.
The video wraps up with the mama breaking her regular silhouette pose to turn towards the camera in a wide-eyed look of anticipation. We know what that means—baby is coming! The last shot fast forwards a bit later, and captures the whole family finally together.
This isn’t their first rodeo. In fact, the family went viral back in 2015, when they captured Monique’s pregnancy with Dylan in their original photo a day video. Maria Jorstad also gained a lot of traction last year when the mom, who was at the time pregnant with triplets, documented her belly full of multiples.
