There are plenty of things that are difficult to deal with during your postpartum period, from a lack of sleep to a healing body and hormonal shifts. On top of all of this, the last thing you need is to be struggling with a bad hair day. But, alas, enter postpartum loss and baby hair regrowth.

One mom, Melinda Finnegan, recently took to her TikTok @minfin4life to make light of her postpartum struggles. In a hilarious parody video, Finnegan offers up “four hairstyles for postpartum hair.” For each look she styles her unruly baby hair into trending looks.

First hair style on the docket: stylish front pieces. Modeled by Kendall Jenner, Finnegan graces the screen with her baby hairs slicked down and parted into, well, what you could call stylish front pieces, but perhaps in their newborn stage.

Next up: accessorizing. Pictured with trending front clips, Finnegan styles hers with three baby bows that make quite the statement. After that, she hits on the front poof, which looks a little more like a front floof and curtain bangs that are in their mini bangs era.

In the comments mothers chimed in with how terribly relatable the video was. “I felt this down to my hair follicle,” joked one mother, “The accuracy! And I’m due again in October. I’m gonna need a support group and a wig,” added another.

For some moms, it was a pleasant reminder that their hair is definitely on the way back. “Ok so it DOES grow back,” wrote one user, “I feel so seen! I lost at least half my hair. I’m 6 months PP [postpartum] and it’s finally on it’s way back,” said another mom.

If you are struggling with postpartum hair loss and weird hair regrowth, know you aren’t alone. In fact, a majority of moms will deal with postpartum hair loss at some point in their lives. You can find tips for how to prevent postpartum hair loss and how to treat and tame your tresses here.
