The Sandlot’s Patrick Renna and Wife Jasmin Are Expecting Baby No. 3

Your favorite Sandlot kid is all grown up—and now he’s expecting his third child.

The Sandlot star Patrick Renna and his wife, Jasmin, shared the exciting news that they’re expecting baby no. 3 on February 18. “Finding out we’re having a baby girl was the best surprise, and my wife, our two boys, and I couldn’t be more excited to meet her," Renna told People.

But the road to the big reveal came with an unexpected twist. “We were convinced we were having our third boy because I mistakenly looked at our second son’s test results from 2020. Whoops!” they admitted. “So, for two weeks, we were all set on welcoming another little guy—until the doctor called and told us the real news.”

Baby girl Renna will join big brothers Liam, 4, and Flynn, 7, rounding out the family of five. Renna, who credits Jasmin for being an “amazing partner and wife” and an “incredible mother,” jokingly rates himself as a “C-plus, B-minus dad” with “some learning to do.”

As he prepares to welcome his daughter, Renna is also gearing up to release his first children’s book, A Little Slugger’s Guide. Blending baseball history with life lessons and The Sandlot nostalgia, the book offers wisdom for young players—both on and off the field.

“Combining lessons in life with lessons in baseball was a lot of fun,” Renna shared. “It’s amazing how similar they are—if you have a good outlook on sports, that mindset can carry over into life.”
