Popular Stroller Fans Recalled Due to Injury Risk
As the weather warms up, many parents are reaching for their trusty stroller fans to keep their little ones cool. But if you have a Nuby Stroller Fan by Luv n’ care, you may want to press pause. The brand has recalled over 33,000 stroller fans due to a potential injury hazard. Here’s what parents need to know.
Why Are Nuby Stroller Fans Being Recalled?
Luv n’ care, the maker of Nuby Stroller Fans, has issued a recall for approximately 33,600 fans following reports of injuries. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the fan’s housing is designed in a way that allows fingers to reach the spinning blades, posing a laceration risk to small children. So far, there have been seven reports of children’s fingers coming into contact with the fan blades, resulting in six injuries.
How Do I Know If My Stroller Fan Is Affected?
The recall applies to Nuby Stroller Fans with three speeds, flexible tripod legs, and a rechargeable USB port. These portable fans are designed to attach to strollers, high chairs and car seats. The plastic fans are black with the Nuby brand name printed on the center on the front of the fan. The lot number N8K10X and model number 25138 are printed on a white label on the back center of the fan. Nuby fans were sold at Baby Express, Burlington Coat Factory, Target and Unique Photo stores nationwide, and online at Amazon.com and us.nuby.com from May 2024 through June 2024 for about $15.
What Should I Do If I Have a Recalled Nuby Stroller Fan?
