Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves is stepping into his new role as an uncle—with pink sneakers and a sweet surprise reveal.

During Wednesday night’s game against the Indiana Pacers, the 25-year-old guard surprised his older brother Spencer and sister-in-law Casey by stepping onto the court in pink and white sneakers, revealing they’re expecting a baby girl. The sweet moment doubled as a slam-dunk-worthy gender reveal and a heartfelt show of brotherly love.

Spencer, who plays basketball professionally in Germany, took to X to celebrate the moment, writing, “Appreciate you! We didn’t know Austin would be so pumped to do this. He’s known for weeks. Maybe he got Luka on board as well with his shoes tonight."

The soon-to-be parents announced their pregnancy in February with a joint Instagram post, sharing a series of dreamy photos featuring a baby jersey. In one photo, their dog proudly posed between them wearing a scarf that read “big brother.”

The two got married in June 2022 on Pensacola Beach in Florida. After the ceremony, Spencer shared a series of sun-drenched photos from the day, including a shot of the couple kissing post-“I do” and another of them smiling in front of the water. “6.27.2022 ♥️,” he captioned the post.
