Ms. Rachel Quietly Welcomes Baby No. 2 via Surrogate & Shares Her Name
Musical mama Rachel Griffin Accurso is officially a mom of two!
The YouTube musical education star, better known as Ms. Rachel, has added a brand-new note to her family’s harmony. “We welcomed sweet baby Susannah into the world! We are so in love!” Accurso captioned a photo with her nuzzling her newborn. “Sometimes timing isn’t what you plan and the road to get there is bumpier than you expect, but when you hold your little ones you know… I’m meant to be your mama.”
Accurso went on to share that for medical reasons, she was unable to carry this pregnancy, and that baby Susannah was born via surrogate. “We were blessed to have a surrogate who gave us the most precious gift possible,” she wrote. “We are now all family forever. We have immense gratitude and a deep bond. It’s been a truly beautiful experience. I’m in awe of her. Aron—thank you for being the best husband and dada!”
Baby Susannah, a name of Hebrew origin that traditionally means “lily,” joins big brother Thomas, 7.
Fans had noticed the YouTube creator had taken a step back from posting recently. While some speculated it had to do with her upcoming Netflix project, Accurso gently clarified in comments recently that she “had some family things to attend to. Nothing to do with Netflix.”
The family’s joyful news comes months after Ms. Rachel shared that she had previously experienced a miscarriage before welcoming Thomas. In a moving Instagram Reel posted last fall, she sang a gentle lullaby at the piano in honor of her “rainbow baby,” writing: “So much love to anyone who understands.”
With Susannah’s arrival, Accurso’s family of four is stepping into a new—and joy-filled—season.
