This Year's Top Trending Celebrity Babies, According to Google Search
It’s been a busy year for celebrity babies! Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, Post Malone, and hundreds of stars grew their families this year. From delivery dates to baby names, fans turned to Google to learn more about their favorite celebrities and their new additions. As a part of its Year in Search recap, the search engine has released data on the top trending babies from this year. While there are some obvious names on the list there are a few surprises sprinkled in. Check out the top 10 below, and let us know who you think should’ve made it on the list.

10. Tristan Thompson’s baby
Tristan Thompson welcomed his second child with Khloé Kardashian in early August. The basketball player made waves for fathering four children with three different mothers, including son Theo with fitness model Maralee Nichols in December 2021—when he was still dating Kardashian.
9. Jeannie Mai baby
After a difficult journey to motherhood, involving a miscarriage and multiple rounds of IVF The Real co-host Jeannie Mai Jenkins and her husband Jeezy welcomed their first child together in mid-January. Named Monaco Mai Jenkins, Jenkins explained in an episode of The Real that Monaco, France, was one of the first places the couple traveled to together and where they established what was happening within their relationship.
8. Cristiano Ronaldo’s baby
World-renowned soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo and his girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez captured the hearts and sympathies of the world after announcing the loss of their newborn son. Ronaldo shared the heartbreaking news on his social media on April 18. “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness,” he wrote.
7. Post Malone’s Baby
Rapper and singer Post Malone shared the news that his new fiancée had given birth to a baby girl during a June 13 appearance on the Howard Stern Show. While talking about his morning routine, Malone told Stern that before leaving his home to head to the studio recently, he “kissed” his “baby girl,” which prompted the radio host to confirm his first child’s arrival.
6. Khloé Kardashian’s Baby
Khloé Kardashian and ex Tristan Thompson officially welcomed baby No. 2 via surrogate in early August. Kardashian’s initial pregnancy announcement in mid-July came as a shock to fans as Kardashian had previously ended her relationship with Thompson in January after another report of infidelity surfaced. After the news broke, many sources confirmed that the child was conceived in November before Kardashian had any knowledge of the affair.
5. Kylie Jenner Baby
Kylie Jenner welcomed her second child, a baby boy, with rapper Travis Scott on February 2, a day after their daughter Stormi’s birthday, now 4. While the couple initially named their son Wolf Jacques Webster, which honored Scott, as his birth name is actually Jacques Webste, Jenner announced shortly afterward that her son will no longer be named Wolf. The beauty mogul has yet to reveal the name of her son but has talked openly about her difficult journey with postpartum depression.
4. Nick Jonas’ Baby
While early in the year, Nick Jonas’ baby announcement got some big press! On January 21, Jonas and his wife, Priyanka Chopra, announced that they had welcomed their first child via surrogate. The baby girl’s name would later be revealed to be Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, born January 15, a little after 8 pm at a hospital in San Diego. Since Malti’s birth announcement, the couple has opened up about their daughter’s over 100-day stay in the NICU, garnering sympathy and messages of strength from fans.
3. Trisha Paytas’ Baby
Popular YouTube star Trisha Paytas welcomed her first baby girl on September 14. Paytas quickly made waves after her announcement because of the unique name she had given her newborn—Malibu Barbie Paytas-Hacmon. Parents flocked to the comments section of her post to let their voices be heard. Supportive and not-so-supportive comments circulated, really getting the conversation and the search started.
2. Rihanna’s Baby
After announcing her pregnancy in early 2022, Rihanna went on to revolutionize maternity fashion and set the internet ablaze in anticipation of her little one. While the pop star, beauty and fashion mogul shared the news that she gave birth to a baby boy on May 13, she and her partner A$AP Rocky have remained tight-lipped about other details.
1. Amber Heard’s Baby
Many times search popularity goes hand in hand with controversy. Amid this year’s high-profile court case with Johnny Depp, actress Amber Heard also became one of the top five searched people. Her daughter Oonagh Paige Heard was swept up in the search frenzy as well. Heard welcomed Oonagh Paige in April 2021 via surrogate. In a post announcing her birth, Heard wrote “My daughter was born on April 8, 2021. Her name is Oonagh Paige Heard. She’s the beginning of the rest of my life.”
