CPSC Issues Recall for 21 Million Miniverse Toy Sets
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of 21 million Miniverse Toy Sets. Here’s what you need to know.
Why are Miniverse Toy Sets being recalled?
According to the CPSC recall, an assortment of Miniverse Toy Sets are being recalled due to the presence of unused liquid resins which may cause skin, eye and respiratory irritation.
MGA Entertainment, which also makes L.O.L. Surprise! and Bratz, has received 26 reports from both children and adults who came in contact with the liquid resins. Injuries from the resins included skin burns and irritation, as well as respiratory irritation. One report stated that a person’s asthma was triggered.
How do I know if my product is affected by the recall?
This recall includes “Make It Mini Appliances,” all models and series of “Make It Mini Food” and “Make It Mini Lifestyle.” The toy sets were sold between October 2022 and June 2024 at Target, Walmart, Family Dollar, Dollar General, ALDI, Hobby Lobby and other stores nationwide, and online at Amazon.
