Milo Ventimiglia and Wife Jarah Mariano Are Expecting Their First Baby

After years of playing one of TV’s most beloved dads, This is Us star Milo Ventimiglia is stepping into the role for real!

The Gilmore Girls actor and his wife, Jarah Mariano, shared the big news on September 29. “Baby on board,” the 39-year-old model captioned a post of her aboard her surfboard with her bump on display. Fans were quick to point out a special detail in the second photo — what appears to be Ventimiglia’s hand forming a shaka gesture, while Mariano gazes upward, signing the same with a look of gratitude.

Just five days before the big baby announcement, Mariano posted on her Instagram to celebrate her and Ventimiglia’s first wedding anniversary. “Last year I married my best friend. There aren’t enough words that exist to describe all the special qualities that make him who he is,” Mariano wrote. “AlI can say is that I am grateful for the life that we have together and the happiness that we have created. Aloha wau iā 'oe my husband Milo.”

“We’ve had relationships that have come and have gone and then you get to a point where you kind of meet your match and meet someone that inspires you in a way different than anybody else,” Ventimiglia told Extra about his marriage earlier this year. “I’m grateful for [Mariano] and I’m happy to have arrived in this moment, so married life is nice.”
