The Conspiracy Theory That Has Many Convinced Meghan Markle Is Pregnant With Twins
It’s been just over a month since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they were expecting a baby, and since then the rumor mill has been churning. And the latest commotion causing quite a stir is the theory that Meghan Markle is secretly pregnant with twins.
The bizarre cause for questioning? Bookies have reportedly stopped taking bets on Markle having twins after ‘an unprecedented amount of bets’ were placed, the Daily Mail reports.
They’re thinking an “insider,” like a friend, staff member or anyone close to the couple, is secretly placing bets on twins because they know something the rest of us are in the dark about. As a result, the bookmakers say they have been forced to refuse any further bets.
“We had to suspend betting. We saw an almost identical pattern of betting before the announcements of the couple’s engagement and pregnancy,” a spokesperson for the betting company Paddy Power says.
It’s an interesting theory, but there is one major plot hole. When Kensington Palace announced the exciting news of Markle’s pregnancy, it was very specific in its wording.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019,” the tweet reads. The phrase “a baby,” seems to slash any possibility we’ll be welcoming two royal babies next year.
Since Kensington Palace is known to keep mum on personal matters, it’s safe to say we may not be able to fully confirm or deny the rumor until the day Markle gives birth. We’ll add it to the list of questions we have for the soon-to-be parents, including what they think the sex of their baby will be.
