Meghan Markle Made Her Ex-Husband Sign a Pregnancy Contract, According to Sources
Since the news of Meghan Markle’s pregnancy was announced, the Duchess of Sussex has had an undeniable pregnancy glow about her. But a recent report may take a bit of that bliss away.
Markle reportedly made her ex-husband, Trevor Engelson, agree to a pregnancy contract in the event the two had a child together, DailyMailTV reports. The contract was meant to protect the former actress’s career, with clauses which required her to have a personal trainer and nutritionist to help Markle throughout her theoretical pregnancy.
While the two divorced before they ever made it to this step, the contract focussed on the now Duchess of Sussex’s body during and after the period when she would have given birth.
“It came up at a time when they were considering having a family, at some point in the near future,” a friend who was allegedly once close to the Duchess tells DailyMailTV. “She knows the heavy-weighted body type runs in her family and has always been terrified of putting on extra pounds, particularly given her career at the time.”
The news breaks as Markle and Prince Harry are currently on their first royal tour. Since the pair took off, they’ve already received their first baby gift and unofficially revealed whether they are hoping for a boy or a girl.
