Markle’s star-studded New York City baby shower, which took place at the lavish The Mark Hotel this week, is the cause for speculation. Conspiracy theorists claim everything from the décor to outfit choices and even gift wrapping paper was a nod towards the sex of baby.

While the arrangements included orange and yellow tulips—a general nod towards spring—there were also dozens of light pink long-stem roses carried into the venue. The hotel, however, claims the flowers were for its own use, and not the shower specifically.

On the day of the actual shower the actress may have been trying to be more discreet, and was spotted walking into the hotel with a gift tucked away inside a brown paper bag. Despite her best efforts, however, blue tissue paper was poking out of the bag, according to Daily Mail.

The boy vs. girl assumptions are solely based on speculations of course. Only time will tell whether fans are grasping at straws or perhaps on to something.
