Meghan Markle Criticized Once Again for How She Holds Baby Archie
Meghan Markle has undoubtedly had a tumultuous few weeks. One thing she doesn’t need? To be mommy shamed—again.
A few days ago, new pictures of Meghan show the former royal carrying 8-month-old Archie in a baby carrier while out with her two dogs on Vancouver Island in Canada, Today Parents reports.
But, of course, self-proclaimed parenting experts took it upon themselves to tell the first-time mom how to correctly hold her baby. “This lady really needs to learn how to hold a baby. Even in the baby carrier, she can’t do it!,” one woman commented on Twitter. Another wrote, “How can she hold a baby like that and control two dogs. An eight month old baby could make a jump and be out of the sling. It’s dangerous.”
Yet another mom commented, “The baby is falling out of the carrier & the string on the mittens is supposed to be threaded through the sleeves of the jacket. It’s like she’s never dressed or carried a baby. Again.”
This isn’t the first time Meghan has been shamed for her parenting skills. Just two months after Archie’s birth, Markle was shamed for the way she held her son at the King Power Charity Polo Match, in which Prince Harry was a participant. Many outlets shared pictures of the family on social media, with trolls commenting on how Markle should “learn how to hold a baby.”
While the full story behind the images remains unknown, the internet has been quick to judge regardless. Of course, the public is still reeling from the couple’s announcement to separate from their royal duties. While Her Majesty the Queen has given them her blessing, according to the statement, the couple will no longer use their HRH titles and repay the cost of renovations to their UK family home.
