Chiefs Super Bowl Winner Matt Bushman and Wife Emily Expecting Baby
Matt Bushman is adding another player to his team!
The Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl winner and his wife, former athlete Emily Bushman, announced on October 29 that they are expecting. “Baby Bushman #3 coming in April! Swipe for a surprise,” the couple captioned the post. In the first photo, Matt and Emily proudly hold their sonogram, and with a simple swipe, they revealed the sex of baby No. 3 in a sweet and straightforward way.
Surrounded by friends, family, and their two daughters, Andie and Micah, Emily fires off a confetti cannon while Matt opens a smoke-filled can. Within seconds, it’s clear—the Bushmans are expecting their first boy! “Matt, Andie, Micah, and baby brother coming in April,” Emily quickly added to her Instagram bio.
The Bushmans welcomed their first child, Andie Mae, in September 2020, followed by Micah Jane in June 2023—just eight months before Matt would head to the 2024 Super Bowl. In a viral TikTok, Emily shared how her family prepared for the big game, including arranging for her parents to watch the kids. She explained that even bringing 8-month-old Micah would have cost thousands of dollars for a ticket.
Matt and Emily met at Brigham Young University, where Emily was playing volleyball and Matt was playing football and baseball. The couple started dating in the summer of 2017, got engaged in February 2018, and tied the knot in Utah in June 2018. Matt played for the Kansas City Chiefs from 2021 to 2024. After the Chiefs’ 2024 Super Bowl win, he announced his retirement from the NFL, saying, I felt it was time to take the next step and move away from football.”
Our congratulations to the growing Bushman family!
