Little Sleepies Recalls 450,000 Sleepyhead Loveys and Bandana Bibs
Popular kid’s brand Little Sleepies has recalled around 450,000 of its Sleepyhead Loveys and Bandana Bibs. Here’s what you need to know.
Why are Little Sleepies Sleepyhead Loveys and Bandana Bibs being recalled?
In cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Little Sleepies has issued a voluntary recall of its Sleepyhead Loveys and Bandana Bibs. The brand estimates about 450,000 loveys/bibs in the US are affected by the recall, with an additional 3,331 sold in Canada. The Sleepyhead Lovey is intended to be used by babies and toddlers as a security blanket, and the Bandana Bib is used to keep babies drool and mess-free during mealtime or when they’re teething.
According to the recall, the care instruction label on the Sleepyhead Lovey and Bandana Bib can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. Little Sleepies has received two reports of the label separating from the item, but no injuries have been reported.
How do I know if my product is affected by the recall?
All Sleepyhead Loveys and Bandana Bibs sold between February 2021 and September 2023 for between $12 and $48 have been recalled. The items were sold in boutiques nationwide and online at Littlesleepies.com.
What should I do if my product is recalled?
The good news is that parents with a Little Sleepies Sleepyhead Lovey or Bandana Bib won’t have to potentially toss their little one’s favorite lovey. Once parents have removed the care instruction label on the item, it can safely be given back to baby. Parents who don’t wish to remove the care label can return the products using pre-paid shipping from Little Sleepies for a full refund.
