Proof That Your Letter Board Obsession Will Get You Through Baby's Teenage Years
Letter boards have a way of allowing moms to say things they usually wouldn’t. When you artfully spell out that you have pregnancy cankles or that your baby won’t stop pooping, it sort of becomes endearing…right? One mom is definitely hoping so, attempting to use a letter board to soften the blow while letting her daughter know her room is disgusting.
“Camille’s room is in a constant state of disaster, or shall we call it ‘creative chaos’?” Rachel Pavlik, the mom behind the blog RachRiot, tells Babble. “I can’t get too mad because I was the same way as a tween. Always creating something. But sometimes her room looks like Walter White’s lab. I’ve tried asking nicely, nagging, threats, punishment, bribes etc.”
Finally, she took the more passive-aggressive, Instagram-friendly approach: a letter board.
It’s too soon to say whether or not it worked. But because Camille is in a slime-making phase, we’re not exactly hopeful.
