Lea Michele Welcomes Baby No. 2 With Husband Zandy Reich

Lea Michele has officially welcomed her second child!

The former Glee actress shared the news on August 25 on Instagram. “Our hearts are so full. Emery Sol Reich,” she captioned a close-up of her husband Zandy Reich and 4-year-old son Ever Leo holding her daughter’s leg and little feet.

Emery, a gender-neutral name of German origin, traditionally means “industrious,” “powerful,” or “ruler.” Paired with the middle name Sol, meaning “prayer for” or “peace,” baby Emery is set up for a bright future in leadership.

Michele first revealed the sex of baby number two in a special Mother’s Day post. “The most beautiful Mother’s Day today, holding my son who made me a mama…and carrying my daughter,” the former Funny Girl star captioned an airy photo of herself holding pink flowers and wearing a white button-down unbuttoned to reveal her bump.

The Broadway star already shares 4-year-old Ever Leo with Reich. Michele first shared the big news she was expecting again on Instagram on March 27. “Mommy, Daddy and Ever are overjoyed,” she captioned the images of herself wearing a white silk robe and underwear with her bare bump on full display.

Friends and fans from Zooey Deschanel to Jaime Lynn Sigler rushed to the comments to send their congratulations and express their excitement for the couple. Ashley Tisdale, who announced her second pregnancy just the day before, added, “So excited for this beautiful family!” Reality star Stassi Schroeder and Wicked actress Hannah Shank also sent their congratulations and well wishes.
