Kylie Jenner Has Officially Changed Her Son's Birth Name
If you’ve ever been through the pain of changing your name after marriage or for any other reason, you know how difficult of a process it can be. Miles of bureaucratic red tape and piles of paperwork! Unsurprisingly, changing the name of your baby after their birth can be equally difficult. In fact, just now, more than a year after welcoming her son, Kylie Jenner has finally changed her son’s legal birth name from Wolf to Aire.
According to court documents, on June 22, Jenner legally filed to have her 16-month-old’s name legally changed from Wolf Jacques to Aire. According to her son’s birth certificate upon his arrival on February 2, 2022 the star named him Wolf Jacques but less than a week later had already made the decision to change his moniker, writing in an Instagram story that he “isn’t Wolf anymore.” The Kylie Cosmetics founder explained that it “just really didn’t feel like it was him.”
A year of speculation later, Jenner finally shared her baby boy’s name with the world. In an Instagram post made on January 21, 2023 The Kardashians star revealed her then-11-month-old’s new name to be Aire Webster.
In the comments below the carousel of adorable photos featuring her baby boy, Jenner clarified that his name is pronounced “Air.” In addition to Aire’s pronunciation, a source confirmed to People that Aire means “Lion of God.”
Friends, family and fans were quick to comment on the post with sweet messages like, “I love you Aire Webster,” from grandma Kris Jenner and “The king!!! Young king,” from sister Khloé Kardashian.
Aire is Jenner and rapper Travis Scott’s second child. The couple are also the proud parents of Stormi, 5. Want to know more about Jenner? Read more about her life as a mom and postpartum journey.
