Jhené Aiko and Big Sean Welcome Their First Baby Together

R&B star Jhené Aiko and rapper Big Sean are officially parents!

On Friday, Aiko announced on Instagram that she and longtime partner Big Sean had welcomed a baby boy into the world on November 8. The “Sativa” singer details her long labor in the post with several photos of her in the delivery room with Big Sean and having some sweet skin-to-skin time with her baby boy.

“11/08/22. Noah Hasani. After 24 hours of labor, a total lunar eclipse, and while it was pouring rain… he came, my baby Yoda, my Sani,” Aiko captioned the carousel of photos.

Noah, a gender-neutral given name, is of Hebrew origin and interestingly, it means both “rest” and "motion.” Because of this dual meaning, baby Noah’s name serves as an important reminder of balance and the yin and yang harmony between striving forward and taking time to stand still and simply be. Hasani, typically a boy’s name means “good-looking” or “handsome.”

While Aiko and Big Sean never made an official announcement of their pregnancy, the longtime couple was spotted in Beverly Hills in July with a glowing Aiko sporting a grey maxi dress with a noticeable baby bump. TMZ snagged the initial photos and was the first to announce the happy news.

Aiko seemingly confirmed the rumors the next day with a [comical post on her Instagram]( featuring a childhood photo of herself holding her stomach. Rapper Big Sean was more direct with his confirmation reposting the picture on his story, saying, “Whole new motivation foreal! Very grateful God continues to bless us; thank you. Can’t wait to be a Dad.”

A representative for Aiko also confirmed the news with People saying, “The couple is overjoyed and looks forward to this next chapter.”

A six-time Grammy nominee, Aiko, has worked with Big Sean on several songs and records throughout the years, notably their 2016 album TWENTY88. The couple has been together on-again-off-again since the album release. While ideas of marriage have been floated, the duo has yet to tie the knot.

The baby Noah is the first for Big Sean and the second for Aiko, who shares a 13-year-old daughter, Namiko Love, with singer O’Ryan.
