Jenna Dewan Welcomes Baby No. 3 With Fiancé Steve Kazee
Jenna Dewan might be known for her role on The Rookie, but she’s a veteran of the parenting game.
The multi-talented Step Up dancer and performer announced the arrival of her daughter on June 20. “Rhiannon Lee Kathryn Kazee. June 14, 2024,” Dewan and her fiancé Steve Kazee captioned photos of their first moments with their newborn. “From the moment you arrived, you have brought immense joy and love into our lives. Your gentle grace, sweetness, and beauty have captivated our entire family. Our hearts are overflowing with love, and we are truly blessed by your presence. Welcome to our world, baby girl.”
Rhiannon, a name of Welsh origin, traditionally means “great queen” or “goddess.” It stems from the mythological name Rigantona, borne by a Celtic goddess of fertility. The name gained popularity in the '70s after Fleetwood Mac released a song called “Rhiannon,” boosting it into the top 1500 most popular names in the US.
The Resident actress first shared the news she was expecting her third child on Instagram on January 17. “Think if I make @stevekazee serenade me every night the baby will get his voice?” Dewan captioned the intimate video of her lounging, bump out, in a bubble bath as her fiancé and musician Steve Kazee sings and strums his guitar.
Friends, fans and family sounded off in the comments with their congratulations. “I LOVE this and am so happy for you,” wrote TV and podcast host Sharna Burgess. “Does this mean Bailey is also pregnant?!?” questioned a fan, regarding Dewan’s role as Bailey in The Rookie.
Shortly after posting her bathtub reveal, Dewan also posted a dramatic slow-mo video of her spinning around in a black maxi dress, revealing her bump with a smile. Celebrities like Jennifer Hudson, Rachel Zoe and Michele Monaghan all applauded the gorgeous video and sent their congratulations.
The couple’s newborn is Dewan’s third—she already shares son Callum, 4, with Kazee and daughter Everly, 11, with ex-husband Channing Tatum—and possibly the last addition to their family.
“I have said before, ‘this is it.’ But I am always really hesitant to say anything final because I know how the universe works, and so I just never like to say, ‘that’s for sure happening’ or ‘that’s definitely not happening.’ I just think you make plans and life laughs. But I would say I would bet most everything, this is my last,” Dewan said in an interview with The Bump.
Our congratulations to Dewan and Kazee on their new addition!
