Kylie Kelce Reveals What She Will (and Won’t) Do to Induce Labor
As those final weeks of pregnancy approach, what may have once felt like an exciting journey can quickly turn into a “get this baby out of me or so help me” moment. Now nearing 38 weeks, NFL favorite and soon-to-be mom of four Kylie Kelce is more than ready to meet her little one—and she’s bringing her signature candor and ‘get after it’ style to the challenge of bringing on labor.
In a recent episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast (a Wave Original), Kelce opened up about doomscrolling her way through the final weeks of pregnancy and Googling the best tricks for inducing labor. After all her research, she’s landed on an unconventional method.
“I’ve said it multiple times to anyone that I’ve spoken to. I’m doing sprints next week,” she said. “You can’t stop me.” Note: Sprinting later in pregnancy is not generally recommended by medical professionals, as it may increase the risk of injury. She added, “Fortunately, for all the listeners, I have asked my OBs about the most common methods, stuff like drinking herbal teas, eating dates, acupuncture, spicy food.”
While Kelce has researched ways to kick-start labor, she’s also learned what NOT to do—chief among them, drinking castor oil. “I will say my OBs have explicitly told me no castor oil. So if that comes up on your induction suggestions, the ways to induce labor at home, opt-out,” she warned. “I’m going to tell you the reason I was told not to do that. Very simple. A simple explanation. I’m not going to get into it. You know what I mean.”

Kylie Kelce Shares What She Is and Isn’t Packing in Her Hospital Bag
Preparing for what is likely her last hospital stay, Kelce has been deep in hospital bag prep at nearly nine months pregnant. Her TikTok “For You” page is filled with hospital bag inspiration, and she recently shared on her popular Not Gonna Lie podcast exactly what she’s packing.
“I will say my hospital bag has not changed very much since Wyatt,” Kylie said, referring to her eldest daughter, now 5. “In my hospital bag has been pajamas, probably two sets that are stretchy, that are very, very stretchy. My toiletry bag with all the goodies, which is shampoo, conditioner, a bar of Dove soap. You know what I’m saying? Just the essentials.”
Kylie, who shares daughters Wyatt, Elliotte, 4, and Bennett, 2, with former NFL star Jason Kelce, added, “A robe to cover my butt when I’m wearing a hospital gown and if it gets a little chilly. My going-home outfit, some snacks for both myself and my husband if need be, slippers, flip-flops.”
The one thing Kylie won’t be bringing? Her makeup bag. “I’m not taking makeup to the hospital. I’m not,” she said. “I will take Chapstick and I will end up with mascara because it will be in my fanny pack, which goes everywhere with me.”
There’s no judgement for moms who choose to embrace a full-face on the big day though. “Here’s how I feel about it, if you would like to do your makeup, have at it. If that’s what makes you happy and feel put together and feel back like yourself, do it, to it, Lars,” Kylie said. “But it won’t be me. Not to mention, when they come out, they can only see 12 inches from their face or something. So they’re not catching details. They’re gonna love you because you made them.”
As for Jason, his bag is also mostly basics with a few creature comforts. “Jason’s bag usually consists of sleep shorts, a change of clothes and his toiletry bag. I think that’s literally it,” she said adding that, “He does bring a fan.” Jason’s previous delivery room behavior went viral when Kylie trolled Jason for what appeared to be his relaxing routine eating sandwiches, napping and fanning himself while she was in labor with daughter Bennett.
“The man loves a fan, and I don’t even blame him,” she said. “It makes his sleeping situation more pleasant. I’ve said it before, I don’t want him to have to suffer. I want him to be comfortable. Now did I want him to carry a whole-ass fan to the hospital? Not really, but he did and it made him more comfy. I would not be surprised if this time he levels up and brings an air mattress.”
Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie Podcast Top Charts
Kelce’s top-ranked Not Gonna Lie podcast delivers unfiltered hot takes on modern parenting, pregnancy, women in sports, social media and navigating life in the public eye as part of the NFL’s unofficial first family. Brimming with humor, candor and an unmistakable sense of camaraderie, Not Gonna Lie is both deeply relatable and refreshingly insightful. In the first episode of Not Gonna Lie Kelce opened up about not loving pregnancy while still being deeply grateful for the magic of motherhood.
“I always say I am so incredibly grateful to be able to get pregnant, unbelievably grateful. I have realized in my adult life that it is not as easy to get pregnant as we were originally led to believe in high school…but it is a means to an end. When I tell you that I cannot stand being pregnant, I mean it. I don’t have a fun time,” she shared.
Kelce went on to reveal that her pregnancies are consistently plagued by nausea and rather than indulging in fun cravings, she often experiences more food aversions. “When you’re super pregnant and someone comes up to you and says, ‘Isn’t this just the most beautiful thing ever?’ I want to punch you in the face,” Kelce joked. “I’m not going to but I want to.”
“I do not like being pregnant. It’s not fun. Zero out of 10, do not recommend,” she added. Still, Kelce isn’t giving up on finding a bit more joy in this pregnancy. She even asked listeners to share their favorite pregnancy cravings, hoping one might spark a newfound love instead of yet another aversion.
Kylie and Jason Kelce Announce They’re Expecting Baby No. 4
The Kelces first announced they were expecting baby no. 4 on November 23. “I feel like we captured a very accurate representation of how each of the girls feel about getting another sister,” Kelce captioned a photo of their three daughters, each with a unique reaction.
In the adorable photo, all three girls sport matching “big sister” sweaters but their reactions couldn’t be more different. Bennett is in tears, Wyatt looks completely shocked, and middle child Elliotte, 3, appears calm and happy about the news. “At least Ellie, mom and dad are on the same page,” Kelce joked.
Friends, family and NFL stars quickly flooded the comments with love and excitement for the growing Kelce family. “Ahhhhhh Congrats you guys,” wrote Brittany Mahomes, wife of Patrick Mahomes. “Welcome to the 4 girls world,” chimed in Kelly Stafford, wife of NFL star Matt Stafford. Erin Andrews, Taylor Swift and Jason’s mom Donna Kelce also sent their congratulations.
Fans couldn’t help but joke about what’s ahead for Jason with four daughters in tow. “@ilonamaher The future of female rugby is looking good,” one commenter quipped. “All girl football team in the near future perhaps,” added another. Even Disney Parks joined the fun, commenting, “A 4th Kelce Princess? Congrats.” One fan summed it up perfectly: “Jason is the ultimate girl dad.”
The Kelces first captured the internet’s heart in 2023 when Kylie prepared for a potential Super Bowl baby arrival. With brothers Jason and Travis Kelce set to face off in the big game, Kylie made headlines as the Super Bowl’s most valuable pusher. While baby Elliotte arrived a little over a week after the game, the moment was unforgettable.
