Halle Bailey Shares Stunning Pics From Underwater Maternity Photoshoot

Halle Bailey is taking a page out of Ariel’s book!

The 2023 Little Mermaid actress recently shared a video and pictures from her underwater maternity photoshoot on Instagram. “🧜🏽‍♀️missing my belly already 💜but I obviously had to do underwater pics,” she captioned the video. In it, Bailey dons flowy clothing and floats effortlessly with her bump her bump on full display.

The post, which has now gone viral, garnered attention from friends, fans and fellow Hollywood stars. “Dreams do come true this is so iconic,” wrote Iskra Lawrence. “Breathtaking fr,” added rapper Big Latto. Expectant mom Kali Uchis simply added, “Yesssss!!” while celebrity mom Gabrielle Union sent her love with purple heart emojis. “I want all the pregnant belly pictures now. Just know you were so beautiful with your belly,” noted another fan.

The Color Purple actress shared her new arrival on Instagram on January 7. “Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son,” she captioned a photo of her newborn’s wrist with a small gold bracelet featuring his name. “Welcome to the world my halo. The world is desperate to know you.”

Celebrities and fans were quick to share their congratulations and praise the new mom. “Congratulations, Halle. Welcome to motherhood and welcome to the world baby Halo,” wrote actress Halle Berry. “Congrats beauty! Welcome to motherhood,” added Tia Mowry. Moms Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Serena Williams and Gabrielle Union were among the thousands of others who sent their love and congratulations.

Notoriously private about her personal life, the Little Mermaid star kept her pregnancy under wraps until announcing the arrival of her little one this week. In November, Bailey responded to a fan on Snapchat who alleged that she had “pregnancy nose” in a recent photo.

In response to the comment, Bailey shared a video saying, “Listen, if I see one more person say something about my nose one more time, it’s going to be hell to pay. You know why? Because I’m Black. I love my nose,” she continued. “What are you concerned about my nose for? Leave me the hell alone.”

Bailey and boyfriend Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., aka DDG, have been dating for more than a year. The pair went Instagram official in March 2022 when the rapper posted on Bailey’s birthday. DDG posted the same photo of baby Halo on his Instagram with the caption, “My biggest blessing by far. Son son… never been so in love. Baby halo.”
