Gisele Bündchen Shares Her Baby Bump for First Time
Gisele Bündchen is offering the world its first glimpse of her baby bump.
The 44-year-old Brazilian supermodel shared her thoughts on happiness as she prepares to welcome her third child with boyfriend and jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente. In a serene video posted to Instagram, Bündchen is seen strolling along the beach, running through the sand and gently cradling her bump against a breathtaking sunset. “Happiness is an inside job. Remember, you are the only one who has the power to create the life you want to live,” she captioned the post.
As Bündchen glowed in a matching bikini and leopard-print skirt in front of the sunset, the video’s narration added: “Happiness was always about the discovery, the hope, the listening to your heart and following it wherever it chose to go.”
Bündchen’s pregnancy was first confirmed in October 2024. “Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family," a source close to the family told People.
The happy couple was first spotted together in November 2022 when the pair visited Provincia de Puntarenas (a province located on Costa Rica’s coast), according to People. The two formed a friendship over the practice and art of jiu-jitsu, where Valente worked as her trainer and secretly started dating in June 2023.
A source confirmed their relationship in 2024, saying that the two wished to keep the details private but that "Bündchen blossomed” since her split from Brady. “She is secure and happy, and so busy with her life that she doesn’t have time to dwell on the negatives out there,” the source said.
Bündchen currently shares 14-year-old son Benjamin Rein and 11-year-old daughter Vivian Lake with her ex-husband Tom Brady. The two divorced in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage, citing that they had “grown apart.” Since the split, Bündchen has opened up about the challenges of co-parenting, admitting that there are some “easier days than others.”
“It’s natural that [they] have different rules, and then kids just adapt,” Bündchen told Good Morning America. “I can only control what I do.”
