The trendy new way to announce baby’s sex is with an over-the-top manicure. POPSUGAR first spotted the trend in a now viral video from one nail artist’s epic reveal.
Marsha from Trend Setters Hair Studio in Cincinnati posted her creation on Instagram, where she decorated fake nails painted with pink and blue colors and an adorable little cake at the top of the middle figure. When it came time to show baby’s sex, a friend lit the cake candle and it sparked to life, revealing a blue flame. See it for yourself below.
“My coworker Sherice is expecting her second child. She wanted me to do some gender reveal nails because she had never seen any before,” Marsha tells POPSUGAR. “She gave me full range to do whatever I wanted, so the cake is what I came up with.”
