Erin Andrews Welcomes Baby via Surrogate After 9-Year IVF Journey
Erin Andrews is proud to officially be called Mom after many years spent struggling with infertility. The trail-blazing sportscaster and her husband, former NHL player Jarret Stoll, confirmed the arrival of their first child with Today. After a nine-year IVF journey, the couple welcomed their baby via surrogate.
Andrews first revealed that she had been undergoing fertility treatments since she was 35 in a 2021 essay for Facebook’s Bulletin, a newsletter platform. She described the seven rounds of IVF treatments she had undergone, describing the process as both “time-consuming” and “emotionally draining.”
“You could go through this whole experience and get absolutely nothing out of it — that’s the crazy part. It’s a ton of money, it’s a ton of time, it’s a ton of mental and physical anguish. And more times than not, they’re unsuccessful. I think that’s why a lot of people choose to be quiet about it,” she added. “You never know who else is going through this; it could be another coworker or the person making your coffee every day. There are more people than you think.”
The couple has yet to release any other details about their baby’s arrival, including their birthdate, sex or name. Andrews and Stoll first started dating in 2012. Four years later, the happy couple got engaged during a trip to Disneyland and six months later married in Montana.
