Peloton Instructor Emma Lovewell Welcomes Baby Girl
Another Peloton baby has made it’s way onto the scene!
Instructor favorite Emma Lovewell and her fiancé Dave Clark announced the arrival of their first child together on August 28. “Baby girl Skylar finally arrived, healthy and right on time at 42 weeks and 4 days,” Lovewell captioned a photo of her family three’s hands all in. “We’re so in love with her and can’t believe we created a human!? It blows my mind every day. Currently I’m feeling grateful, exhausted, and excited for this new chapter in my life.”
Family, friends, fans and fellow fitness instructors sent their love and congratulations to the happy couple. “My whole heart just exploded! You did it mama,” commented Peloton instructor Jess King. “That’s some serious endurance! Well done baby sky. Love to you,” wrote cookbook author Caroline Chambers. “Welcome Skylar!! 💕(Those 2 week late babies sleep better) You have awesome and wonderful parents,” added parenting influencer Elyse Kopecky.
The name Skylar has rapidly grown in popularity since 1992 and currently is ranked as the 107th most popular named among girls born in the US. Derived from the Dutch surname Schuyler, it traditionally means “scholar.”
Lovewell first announced she was pregnant on February 29. “And no we’re not getting another cat,” the spin instructor captioned the couple’s announcement on Instagram. “Baby human coming Summer 2024.” In the accompanying Reel, Lovewell and Clark each set down a pair of hiking boots for themselves before adding a baby pair in the middle.
“I’m so happy for you both! Love this baby soooooo much already!!! Auntie Ally is in FULL EFFECT,” Peloton instructor Ally Love wrote in response. “Tor tor is getting a new friend!!! So excited for this sweet fam and coolest kid,” added new mom and Peloton instructor Selena Sameula. “Baby garden tools going crazyyyyy,” joked Alex Toussaint. “Googles cat hiking boots so they don’t feel left out,” added another commeter.
Lovewell and Clark got engaged while out hiking in October 2023. “We’re making it official! 🥰 #DaveNoIG,” she wrote, jokingly referencing her soon-to-be husband’s lack of an Instagram account. Acclaimed instructors from Robin Arzon to Jess King sent their congratulations to the newly engaged duo. The father of three little ones, Emma’s brother Alan Lovewell joked in the comments, “Yay!!! I was starting to think the next wedding i’d go to was my kids. Way to go @emmalovewell and #davenoig.”
