Harry Potter Himself Wants to Read You “Harry Potter” at Home
As we all continue to quarantine at home, celebrities are finding ways to keep us happy and entertained. A few weeks ago, J.K. Rowling announced the launch of a new online hub, “Harry Potter At Home.” Now, Daniel Radcliffe, the actor who played Harry Potter, is narrating the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone as part of a new “Harry Potter At Home” series.
While Radcliffe is the first to read in the series, other famous faces from the Wizarding World (and beyond) will also help to narrate at 17 chapters from the first book in the series, including Stephen Fry, David Beckham, Dakota Fanning, Claudia Kim, Noma Dumezweni and Eddie Redmayne.
“Daniel will be the first of many exciting contributors to help us read through the first Harry Potter book, as he introduces the Dursleys, who don’t like anything mysterious,” a statement introducing the reading reads. “Enter a cat reading a map, owl-filled skies and whispers about the Potters. So, get comfy and enjoy!”
