Constance Wu and Her Boyfriend Ryan Kattner Welcome Baby Boy
Constance Wu is now a mom of two!
The Hustlers actress shared the big news in a teaser for Danielle Robay’s PRETTYSMART podcast. “Breaking news,” she said to Robay, “Nobody knew I had a son.” Outside of letting listeners in on the arrival of her baby boy, the movie star has remained pretty tight-lipped about other details surrounding her newborn.
Wu and her boyfriend Ryan Kattner first announced she was expecting with a candid Instagram story post showing off her bump in later February. “Bun in the oven. Filipinese baby #2 coming soon,” Wu captioned the photo of her bare belly. The Crazy Rich Asians star and Man Man frontman are already parents to a 2-year-old daughter, who they secretly welcomed in August 2020.
Wu opened up about her baby girl for the first time in May 2021 when she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “I had a beautiful baby girl in August. She’s the best, she’s the best. She has a full head of hair. She has a blue butt,” she told the talk show host.
Officially known as congenital melanocytosis, Wu explained to Fallon that her daughter was born with a “Mongolian spot.” The typically flat and blue birthmark appears at birth or in the first few weeks of life for some babies before going away naturally. “Apparently, it happens in a lot of Asian babies, and my boyfriend and I are both Asian,” Wu said, joking that Kattner had “actually wrote a song about her blue butt. So, that will be on his next album.”
