Chrissy Teigen Says No One Takes Photos of Her and Moms Can Relate
Moms can often become the pillars of their family, taking care of both baby and partner. When it comes to doing seemingly little things, like making sure to document important family moments, moms often do most of the work—just ask Chrissy Teigen.
The model turned cookbook author is one of the most relatable moms out there. (Remember when she tweeted—and unsurprisingly got 3,000 retweets—about her 3-year-old daughter, Luna, being upset with her being late to school pick-up?) Yesterday, she posted yet another #momlife moment to her Instagram, with a picture of herself in a face mask. In the caption she wrote, “I never post myself because no one in my family takes pics of me.”
It’s no wonder that moms took to the comment section to show they can relate. One mom wrote, “Said every mother in the world,” while another commented, “Mom life…always taking the pics, never in them.” Yet another stated, “Wow do I feel this completely. I get great pics of my husband and the dog constantly, and I get none.”
This isn’t the first time Teigen has raised the issue, either. Back in August, in the caption of a different Instagram post, she wrote, “I never have pictures of myself because I am selfless and am the designated photo taker and keeper for my family and no one else seems to care to be thoughtful and take good photos of me they merely click them off without paying attention to angles or lighting or general photo ambience. but it’s okay. such is the life I chose. (To john).”
What does her husband John Legend have to say about this? He commented on her latest post, saying, “This is not true.” While Legend may be a great husband, it seems Teigen, like most moms, gets the short end of the stick when it comes to taking pictures.
