In a recent episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, everyone’s favorite home improvement couple announced they are returning to TV–and in a really big way.
The power couple is partnering with HGTV parent company, Discovery, to form Magnolia Network. We can expect to see Chip and Joanna Gaines’s new channel debut within the next 12 to 18 months.
“So we actually partnered with David Zaslav and Discovery, we’re actually going to have a network, and I think we’re going to really carve it out in a way that makes sense to us and our family,” Chip revealed on the night show. "It’s going to be filmed a lot in Waco, Texas, so we don’t have to travel a whole lot. So with all things being equal, we’re really excited.”
The announcement comes as a pleasant surprise for fans, who have been hoping the dream team would make a TV comeback ever since they announced last fall they were ending their hit HGTV series, Fixer Upper, to focus on their family and business. The last episode aired in April 2018.
More details on Magnolia Network, including how much airtime the couple will actually receive, will come in the following weeks. But for now, get excited!
