Bugaboo Recalls Dragonfly Seat Strollers Due to Injury Risk
Bugaboo has issued a voluntary recall of more than 1,000 Dragonfly Seat Strollers.
Why are the Dragonfly Seat Strollers being recalled?
Bugaboo has identified an issue with the Drangonfly Seat Stroller’s “parent-facing” mode. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the backrest of the seat can move downward, placing the infant in a negative recline. In this situation, an unrestrained infant could tumble from the seat, posing an injury hazard.
Bugaboo has received one report in the United States and seven reports in South Korea of the backrest of the seat moving downward during use when in parent-facing mode. No injuries have been reported in the US.
How do I know if my product is affected by the recall?
The recall affects any Bugaboo Dragonfly Seat Strollers purchased between May 2023 and June 2023 online and at different children’s retailers. You can check to see if your stroller is a part of the recall on the Bugaboo website.
What should I do if my product is recalled?
The good news is parents won’t have to throw out their recalled Dragonfly Seat Strollers. Bugaboo is happy to provide parents with a free replacement seat.
Bugaboo recommends you stop using the Dragonfly Seat Stroller until the seat has been swapped out. You can fill out a simple form to request your replacement seat at Service.Bugaboo.com.
