TODAY show style editor, author and “professional girlfriend” Bobbie Thomas can now add “professional mom” to her resume.
Thomas and her husband Michael Marion welcomed Miles Thomas Marion on Tuesday. The first child for the couple, Miles weighed in at 7 lbs, 5 oz. They shared photos of their newborn on Facebook this morning.
It’s a happy ending to a tough journey. Thomas went through four unsuccessful rounds of IVF before an embryo transfer finally took, and announced her pregnancy on the Today Show in December 2014. She’s been open about her pregnancy struggle, sharing her IVF story with The Bump to educate and inspire other women who deal with infertility.
Thomas also followed up with a super honest update at eighteen weeks where she covered all the ups and downs of pregnancy, from sore boobs to random bouts of crying. “I would gladly go through all of this again, and then some, if it means I get to hold my child at the end of it all,” she wrote.
