'Blue’s Clues' Gets a Modern Makeover With Reboot Series
Last year, Nickelodeon dropped major news: Its beloved preschool series Blue’s Clues is getting a reboot. This week, the network released its first-ever look at the reimagined series, Blue’s Clues and You, and it’s sure to delight the next generation of viewers.
The show will be hosted by Broadway star Joshua Dela Cruz, and parents will recognize series staples, like the Thinking Chair, a Handy Dandy Notebook and friends including Magenta, Mailbox and Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper.
But make no mistake, the old school hit is getting a modern makeover. The prodigal puppy flaunts a newly detailed rendering that combines animation and CGI. Cruz also sports a modern look, donning a blue-striped long sleeve shirt, jeans and sneakers. In addition to a more laid back style, the host also has a fresh new musical style. The promo video features an upbeat and catchy tune we can bet your kids will be singing in no time.
Blue’s Clues and You is set to premiere in November on Nick Jr.
