Baby Born in Chipotle Parking Lot Gets the Most Fitting Shower Ever
Babies are born in unusual places every day. See: hospital hallways, NYC taxi cabs even in the middle of a hurricane. But what’s missing from these amazing birth stories? A follow up. And today we finally got one–with a side of chips. Yep, in an amazing twist of fate, a Denver couple whose baby was born in a Chipotle parking lot were treated by the fast-casual restaurant to their own burrito-themed baby shower, cake and all.
Parents Adrianna Alvarez and Saul Flores didn’t intend for their fourth baby to be delivered on-the-go. In fact, they were on the way to the hospital when Alvarez asked Flores to pull over.
“We ended up in front of Chipotle. It was really weird,” Alvarez told her local Fox News outlet.
Coached by a 911 dispatcher, Alvarez gave birth to Jaden Flores at 9:11 a.m. on April 10th–in the Chipotle parking lot.
But (thankfully) the story didn’t end there.
To celebrate, Chipotle invited the new parents, along with their friends and family, back for a truly one-of-a-kind baby shower featuring an all-burrito-everything theme. They even gifted baby Jaden with a swaddle blanket that looked just like a tortilla.
And if a burrito blanket doesn’t make you want to learn to swaddle like a pro, we don’t know what else will.
